Jana Bumstead

Jana Bumstead is an RYT-200 and lives in Prairieville, LA with her husband, son and dog. She completed her 200 hour teacher training through Yoga Alliance at Yoga Bliss in Baton Rouge in 2012. She attended her first yoga class as a freshmen at LSU in 2002, however it wasn’t until a few years later that yoga changed her life. After sustaining a running injury while training for a marathon, a friend suggested rehabbing with yoga. When she began to understand the power of yoga, the ability to calm the mind and body with movement and breath, she was hooked.

Jana teaches an active Vinyasa Flow class for all levels. Both with modifications and advanced options, she truly believes yoga is for everyone. Expect a particular focus on hips and hamstrings, Jana’s class is designed to improve mobility and strength while leaving you feeling stretched out, accomplished and relaxed. One of her favorite mantras is “YOU are stronger than you think.”

HONEY LUNDIN

Honey Lundin, a native of Baton Rouge, started her love for movement at the young age of 3 through dance. As a teenager, she replaced her pointe shoes for running shoes as a competitive year round cross country and track runner. While a college student, she found a love for group fitness, especially those that included dance and/or plyometrics with lots of aerobic activity. This inspired her to earn AFAA certification to teach group fitness classes. Slouchy socks, white Reeboks, scrunchies, and floral bike short/sports bra sets were the staples in her wardrobe in the early 90s as she taught 7-8 classes a week, including Cardio Funk, High Impact Aerobics, and Step Aerobics, to help fund her college tuition.

Marriage, teaching elementary school, and motherhood happily became her priorities after college, and her health and fitness regimen took a backseat for a while. Tennis eventually became the sport of choice for her husband and sons , so she learned how to play too in order to get some exercise while spending quality time with her family.

Missing the group fitness vibe, and feeling a bit out of shape, Honey walked into Reform Fitness in April 2017 to “try it out”. She’s been a member ever since, completing over 1000 classes. Reform Fitness rekindled her love for health and fitness, group classes, and pushed her to try new things, including certifying in new methods. Now, 30 years after those white Reeboks, she’s back as in instructor with certifications in BUTI Yoga, 305 Fitness (Dance Cardio), and POP Pilates. Her hope for our clients is to love movement, feel welcome in our Reform community, form healthy habits, feel strong, and try new things, no matter the age, body type, or fitness level.

You can find Honey in Reform classes on most days either before or after her work as an Elementary School Principal. She and her husband Marc have been happily married for 29 years. They have two grown sons, Carter (26) and Brock (23).

Kellie Langlois Aucoin

Growing up in Baton Rouge I attended St Pius Elementary School I started taking tap, jazz and ballet and was a dancer on the school’s dance team. During that time I also played softball and challenged most of the boys in my subdivision to a race, on the weekends, lol! As I grew older I continued to take dance lessons and started participating in numerous races for charities. After having my son in 1987, it seems for the following 15 years we practically lived in a school gymnasium, as my only son, Trey, loved and was a great basketball player. After he graduated high school, I got back into running and trained, running every race I could get in. I was training for a marathon in 2008 when I was involved in a near fatal automobile accident, breaking 17 bones. Included, but not limited to my neck, back, pelvis, tailbone and tibia. I also suffered an incomplete spinal cord injury and a neurogenic bladder. After numerous surgeries and years of physical therapy, I was encouraged by my doctors to try yoga! That is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for myself and my health. I’ve been practicing yoga now for over 4 years. I absolutely love Reform Fitness! Jodi is the very best studio owner and fitness instructor I’ve ever had the pleasure to learn under! I teach a Vinyasa Flow class. Due to injuries I have and the hardware in my body my class includes stretching and stabilization. Being aware of the body and my range of motion, I feel that I may be able to instruct using proper alignment and modification techniques to help fit unique individual situations. I have a strong faith and believe that our bodies are capable of doing more than we could ever imagine! I am married to Kevin and enjoy spending time with him, our grown children, Trey Albin, Peyton and Regan Aucoin, as well as our terrific neighbors
